Jackie has over 14 years of Federal Government contracting experience, previously serving as a Contracting Officer, Deputy for Small Business and Senior Procurement Analyst with various Government agencies. She is considered a subject matter expert in the field of federal acquisition possessing in depth knowledge of acquisition regulations and contracting principles. Jackie earned her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in 2003 from Loyola College in MD and has achieved Level III DAWIA certification in Government Contracting from Defense Acquisition University (DAU). In 2011, Jackie was awarded one of the highest honors in Army contracting, the Secretary of the Army Award for Excellence in Contracting in the Category of Outstanding Procurement Analyst. Jackie offers a vast amount of experience and resources to help small businesses navigate their way through Government contracting.

Hagerstown Community College’s Technical Innovation Center (TIC) supports local entrepreneurs as they grow sustainable businesses. The mission of the TIC is to help tech startup companies grow into sustainable businesses based in Washington County. By fostering the growth of new businesses, the TIC enables job creation, building businesses and developing the local economy through the provision of access to advanced technologies, business development resources, and collaborative opportunities.

Since its launch in 1994, the TIC has seen over 70 companies come through its doors as startups and graduate into the business world. Emerging technology companies receive many benefits at the TIC, from basic business services, access to equipment and technology, coaching and mentoring, fundraising support, and marketing and public relations leverage.

Sell or Die Workshop Series

This three-part series workshop will help you understand why selling is important and why people buy and don't buy. Additionally, we will work to find the best way to communicate the value of doing business with your company. The sales process will be outlined and discussed with an emphasis on what it takes to close business. Together we will explore ways of getting started and outline actionable items to move you towards success.
